Here goes...

This time tomorrow I'll be in France! I'm very nervous about finding the right trains! The first train to Lille is no prob, but finding the right train in countries I don't speak the language of will probably be difficult. I'm very excited for my first night of couchsurfing because she has a cat! Haha, I briefly met a nice alley cat in Greece, but other than that I haven't since I left mine almost three months ago!
The plan is....one night in Lille (France), Brussels (Belgium), Liege (Belgium), Cologne (Germany), Mannheim (Germany) two nights in Munich (Germany), two nights in Salzburg (Austria), I'll arrive in Vienna (Austria) on the 23rd, and spend Christmas with Mike. It looks like we're having Christmas dinner at another CSers (couchsurfers) house and then having lunch on Christmas day at Mike's. I'll stay with him in Vienna for New Years and leave on January 2nd. That day will be pretty much all traveling, first a train to Innsbruck (Austria; was going to stay there but there are no couchsurfers), hopefully have a couple hours to stretch and wander, then another train to Zurich (Switzerland), where I'll stay two days. On the 4th I'll get a train to Lausanne (Switzerland), again hopefully some time to wander, then another train to Paris, where I'll spend two nights. Then on Wednesday the 6th I'll get a train to Calais (France), then a ferry to Dover, then a train to London (I can't book my ticket to London because I don't have a U.K. issued debit card, so I may end up spending a night in Dover). Then from where I get off in London it will probably take me an hour to get back to New Cross.
I'm all packed in one backpack (which I got from a CSer in London, for free!), somehow I don't think I'm going to sleep very much tonight.

Just read a bit on my pass that says "this pass is for residents of Europe only", great, I might get to France and have to come right back here...somehow they forgot to mention that detail when I bought the pass with my Bank of America card and American passport...
There's no way I'm sleeping for the next two days, at least.

One more day of classes

This pic is the sweatshirt I got today for my job, it's way too big, but comfy, love it!

We had the windband Christmas concert yesterday, and I was feeling the Christmas spirit, haha. I also just finished reading Dickens 'A Christmas Carol' the other night.

One day left then no classes until January 11th! Still tons of work to do, I thought I got a good chunk of it done, then I had a tutorial and it turns out I did everything wrong. The plan is to do it during the day Saturday....we'll see. Tomorrow we present our duos/trios projects in practical popular music class, I'm doing Simon & Garfunkel's 'Kathy's Song' with a singer and guitarist, we rehearsed it today and it went REALLY well, I'm pretty pumped about it.
I leave Monday! Still have a lot of planning to do. It looks like we're having a couchsurfing Christmas! I'm so excited! Mike is willing to have it at his dorm, I'm going to see if everyone attending with pitch in on the cooking. So far I've found 4 or 5 people on couchsurfing who will be in Vienna and alone for Christmas. It's going to be so much fun!
Watching 'A Muppet Christmas Carol' tonight, otherwise this weekend I'm working on my final assessments and hopefully seeing some Americans before they all leave, then I'm leaving Monday and will be back a week before classes start! (need at least 3 days recovery time from travelling I'm discovered)

Almost There

One week left of term, in which I have a TON of work to do. My biggest distraction has been watching the show "Psych" online, but, I've watched almost every single episode, so I figure I should just keep watching to get that distraction out of the way, right? Right.
I leave in eight days! Hasn't really set in yet, no plans really, just winging it. I have a eurostar ticket which will take me from London to Lille (France) on the 14th, and I have someone from couchsurfing who's going to host me and show me around. After that, I can't really say where I'll be and when, so I'll probably be staying in hostels, I'll do my best to find a couch though, free is always nice. So, I'll be travelling for about 3 weeks, 6 weeks after that my parents are visiting, 9(ish?) weeks after that my sister is visiting, then 9 more weeks and I'll be home.
Oh and I did play in my first Goldsmiths basketball game, barely. The coach didn't show up so we weren't really able to sub, I might have played for a total of 2 minutes, if even. Nother game tomorrow (today technically), hopefully I get more play time. Afterwards there's a Pats game on at Bodean's inWestbourne at 6pm, dunno if anyone is coming, but I'm heading there straight after b-ball. The teams meeting to leave a 2pm, away game, dunno when it starts, but the tube is all sorts of shut down on Sundays and basically useless, so depending on where the game is it could take me an hour to get to Bodeans.
Anywho that's life at the moment, crazy stressful this week, but soon to be over and off on more adventures.
